Monastery Vignettes

Since 2007 I’ve spent over a year in 4 separate trips at a Burmese monastery near Yangon. So much is different and unfamiliar that initially, it’s quite overwhelming and often completely charming! Over time I found much to make me smile as well as sometimes frustrate or sadden me.  I started to make a few notes of my observations. During the next few months, I hope to write up more of these stories. I hope you enjoy them.
